Model Railroad Remote Control | 2009

A class assignment where we worked in groups to improve the functionality of the UT5 Model Railroad remote control. Our professor who was an avid model railroader found the existing controls to be clunky and counter intuitive, and proposed that we re-design the remote with it's user in mind.

One problem of the existing remote which we decided needed to be resolved was the remote's need to be plugged in requiring model railroaders to own several remotes depending on the size of their track.

My group chose to abandon the traditional handheld remote for one mounted on the wrist of the user giving them the ability to use both hands and allow for greater freedom around the track.
